I have purchased three of these loaches...

I have fed them normal flake food and just now some blood worms... However, they and my other fish seem to hang out around the top of the tank and seem like they are gasping for air... Then they dive to the bottom...

Am I doing Ok! feeding them?
things can only get better

I think that is a Botia Loach Steve. Won't grow as large as the Clown Loach so that's a bonus Thumbs Up

The food you are offering them should be fine but give it a few days, new arrivals don't always eat straight away

The "hanging around the top" is usually a sign that there is not enough oxygen in the water. You need to make sure that you have plenty of surface movement in the tank. Not sure what type of filter came with that tank but if it has a return (theplace where the water is returnd from the filter back into the tank) and it is a sprout type then this should be positioned at the surface of the water so that it creates a slight splash and breaks the water surface. Failing that you could always buy a small, cheapish powerhead to run in the tank to create some more surface movement

The botia refers to the species, so most loaches are actually botia loaches   The clown loach is botis macharantha and the yoyo loach is Botia Lochata for example.

Yours are actually Botia dario often called the Queen loach or Bengal loach, hits about 8cm and is a nice peaceful fish
