I'll see if I can stick a few quid aside and surprise him with one of those :)

He has got a lot of red stuff on the live rock already, is that likely to be coraline algae? Or a bad algae? He's currently got a light above the tank, but it's not a very good one.
I'm very excited. There will be room for at least 5 or 6 corys I should think, as well as a couple more white clouds to keep the others company.

Now - we just need to get the room painted so that I can get the tank...

I also wouldn't bother with lps corals in 25L. They'd outgrow it in no time and as mentioned, sweeper tentacles are killers. However, I would try an acan frag if the lighting is right. Either of the above links is a good light unit/

How does the set up sound otherwise? Forgot to mention, he's also got a "hong kong special" protein skimmer. Tiny little thing that sits in the tank at the back. There won't be room for much else.
Sexy shrimp need to be kept with mushrooms and zoas or a mini maxi anemone or two (but they need good lghting) but some other invertebrates may attack them as they're so small.
Research is the key and I have some good sites on my laptop for sexy shrimp info and a good marine form too http://www.thesaltybox.com and I'll find a link for the light too.
