A shake of the filter is often enough to dislodge it. You'll get a spray of bubbles in the tank as a sign that it's moved and the filter should run more quietly afterwards.]]>

Add some gravel and water from the existing tank. You can run the small filter in there and it will mature without harming the snail. 50% water changes twice a week will keep it fine until the filter does mature.]]>
